Our Story

Serving Brazoria County with whole-person family medicine since day one

Alvin-Manvel Family Clinic was founded by Mary Anne Tessitore and Sheryl Inman — two experienced family nurse practitioners who saw a need for high-quality, relationship-centered primary care in Brazoria County.

After years working in larger healthcare settings, they set out to create something different: a clinic where patients are known by name, appointments are unhurried, and providers have the time to truly listen. The result is a practice that blends the warmth of a small-town doctor's office with the full clinical scope of a modern family practice.

Located on Highway 6 between Alvin and Manvel, AMFC serves patients of all ages — from newborns and children to adults and seniors — offering primary care, chronic disease management, hormone therapy, weight loss, IV therapy, and more under one roof.

Mary Anne Tessitore, FNP-C

Mary Anne Tessitore is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a deep commitment to providing personalized, relationship-based care for patients of all ages. As a co-founder of Alvin-Manvel Family Clinic, she has built a practice rooted in listening first and treating the whole person — not just the diagnosis.

Her clinical focus spans primary care, chronic disease management, hormone optimization, and women's health. Mary Anne holds additional certification in Biote hormone therapy and brings an integrative perspective to patient wellness, combining conventional medicine with lifestyle-based interventions.

A native of the Gulf Coast region, Mary Anne is deeply invested in the health of the Alvin and Manvel communities. She and her team pride themselves on offering the unhurried, attentive care that larger health systems often cannot.

Sheryl Inman is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and co-founder of Alvin-Manvel Family Clinic. With a background spanning acute care, chronic disease, and preventive medicine, Sheryl brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to every patient encounter.

Her clinical interests include primary care for all ages, weight management, hormone therapy, and men's health. Sheryl is passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their own health journey.

Sheryl's approachable style and dedication to follow-through have made her a trusted provider for families across the Alvin-Manvel area. She believes that the best medicine begins with a genuine patient-provider relationship built on trust, transparency, and respect.
